Flora:
In 1942 the Germans built an artillery site in Havreneset with 6 French 155 mm guns. After the war the guns were removed, but one is still standing.

In 1943 a camp for Russian prisoners of war was built. The prisoners worked on the road from Florø to the mainland.

The Germans built several fortifications in Florø. In Storeåsen remnants of these can still be seen.
