When the storms are raging and tremendous waves crash against the coastal rocks you really get in touch with nature. Autumn and winter are particularly good times to experience the force of nature at it’s most intense. Dress well, feel the salty ocean spray, and seek shelter in the evening in a cosy cabin by the shore.

Indoors you are safe, yet right there in the centre of it all. The islands outside of Florø offer many rental cabins. Idyllic in good weather and dramatic in bad weather; exotic either way. Get there by passenger boat from Florø.
